Our mission is to educate, inspire, and equip communities to protect and restore forests and urban green spaces. Through research driven insights, open data, and clear reporting, we make environmental knowledge easy to access.
We align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13: Climate Action and Goal 15: Life on Land, to drive conservation and prosperity for all.

Ramkumar Yaragarla
I Hug Trees was founded by Ramkumar Yaragarla, an advocate for the environment and a firm believer in the transformative power of trees, with a mission to inspire people to take action for a greener future.
Ram is a permanent resident of Australia and divides his time between Australia and India to lead this initiative. Inspired by the urban greens of Melbourne and the natural ecological systems of India, I Hug Trees strives to inspire action for a greener planet.
