This text appears as the title on a separate legend image, which you can download alongside the PNG.
So the image aligns correctly on a normal map, like Google Maps or Leaflet, using the 4 bound numbers in the downloadable JSON file.
The tool checks your file on its own. If the values form a smooth range, like temperature, elevation or an index (for example 21°C to 34°C, or -0.4 to 0.5), it treats them as continuous. If the values are a small set of labels, like land type (for example 0 = water, 1 = vegetation, 2 = built-up), it treats them as classes.
PNG keeps missing data transparent and is exact, best for GIS use. JPEG fills missing data with a white background and is smaller, best for sharing or quick viewing.
Values and units are exactly as you declared them; nothing is detected or verified.
Uploaded files are removed after conversion. Results are deleted automatically after a day. We use AWS's secure signed-link system to protect every file.
